If you are new to the world of cannabis, all of the terms and acronyms can be a little bit confusing. Most of us seem to have a decent idea of what THC is, but what about THCA?
Before you can figure out where to buy THCA online, it helps to know the difference between the two. Consider it the first step before you buy THCA online for yourself.
What Is THCA?
It is short for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, and it is basically the precursor to THC. When you buy THCA online, you are essentially getting a similar product but in a different form. Just about all cannabinoids begin as an acid and have to be changed.
THCA is also unstable at first, even when it is in a controlled environment. It has to be handled carefully in order to properly work with it and gain the full effect profile.
What Does THCA Do?
THCA is non-psychoactive, which means that there is no “high” to it. It’s because THCA doesn’t bind with the CB1 receptors which tend to have a high affinity for THC. THCA extracts do, however, have neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory qualities.
In order to use THCA, you have to find a freshly made extract or ingest raw cannabis. There are plenty of concentrates out there that can help deliver these effects, but they are largely meant for dabbing rather than consumption of any kind.
